About Lannang Stories
Brought to you by The Chinese University of Hong Kong Faculty of Arts and Department of English, in parternship with Lannang community members and The Lannang Archives. Lannang Stories feature a local collection of storybooks in a celebration of language, culture, and identity. Dive into tales woven with the threads of Lannang heritage, each story a bricolage of tradition and modernity.
“Lannang Stories” is an innovative digital initiative dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of the Lánnang-uè language, a minority language rich in cultural heritage.
This online platform breathes new life into traditional storytelling by offering electronic storybooks that resonate with Lannang children and parents alike. Through interactive engagement and the convenience of modern technology, “Lannang Stories” extends its reach to families and educational institutions, fostering a community-wide effort to embrace and celebrate Lannang identity. The project’s dual approach of both printed and online publications not only amplifies its impact but also opens doors to wider recognition and support.
At its heart, “Lannang Stories” is about connecting generations and nurturing the natural use of Lánnang-uè, ensuring its vibrant legacy continues to flourish in the digital age.
